Like any bar of natural soap, Kanhode soaps are devoid of preservatives or artificial hardeners. The hardness of the soaps comes from natural ingredients applied as coconut oil and shea butter which can soften upon contact with water. But no worries, there are many ways to make your soap last longer with just a little care.

1.Keep the soap away from water
Nothing will dissolve your soap bar faster other than keeping it wet. Water breaks down the consistency of the soap and you will find yourself going through bars of soap frequently. Hence, avoid leaving your soap bar in contact with water.
2.Let the soap air dry
Allow air to dry out your soaps between uses. The more time your soap spends completely dry, the longer it will last.
3.Use a soap dish with good drainage
Soap dishes without drainage will keep the moisture longer and make your soap soggy. Using the soap dish with good draining, raised areas, and laying your soap with less contact surface to the soap dish can prolong the life of soaps.
4.Take cooler showers
Hot water dissolves your soap bar quickly and makes it harder to form lather. A cooler shower will extend the usage period by allowing the soap to maintain its shape and consistency.
5.Use a washcloth instead of your hands
Your bare skin is less able to produce and retain lather from soap than other materials. If you use a washcloth, less soap will be used as the washcloth naturally creates more lather that goes further in cleansing your body than simply using your hands alone.
6.Store smaller pieces in a soap-saving bag
Once your soap bar becomes soft or breaks down into smaller pieces that are difficult to use, put them inside a soap-saving bag. This small bag can act as another “bar” of soap that you can directly use for exfoliating and cleansing your skin. What a Smart and Awesome soap saver!
7.Store your soap well
Store unused soap in dark, dry and cool places. Excessive heat, light, and moisture are natural soap's enemies.
Love and enjoy your soap time!
